Youth trades academies (Secondary-Tertiary Programmes) aim to engage young people in education and equip them with the vocational skills and training they need to gain future employment.
Working in conjunction with Vocational Pathways, trades academies deliver trades and technology programmes to secondary students based on partnerships between schools, tertiary institutions, industry training organisations and employers.
Students in years 11 - 13, who are interested in a career in the trades or technology, can now use the Vocational Pathways to identify and plan their study options and develop clear pathways to obtain vocational qualifications that are relevant in the workplace.
