Welcome to the John Paul College website. John Paul College was founded in 1987 with the amalgamation of Edmund Rice College and MacKillop College. The current principal is Patrick Walsh, president of the Secondary Principals' Association of New Zealand. Principal for the past eight years, Patrick has led the college to become the top performing Catholic secondary school in New Zealand. John Paul College educates and shapes the lives of young people from Year 7 (11 years) to Year 13 (17 years) in the beautiful tourist city of Rotorua.

2nd HAND UNIFORM SHOP

The 2nd Hand Uniform Shop will be open on Thursday 26th January from 3.30pm - 5pm. The shop is located at the rear of the Edmund Rice Centre, accessed from the Technology Block side.

All workbooks MUST be purchased from OfficeMax, either through their website or at their Rotorua store on 1135 Fenton Street. It is also possible to purchase stationery items from OfficeMax.

LOST PROPERTY

Many unnamed items are waiting to be collected from the student counter. If you are missing some of your child’s clothing please have them ask at the counter or please call in to retrieve the items yourself. All unclaimed lost property will be donated to the PTA.

CONGRATULATIONS!

Congratulations to Cameron Glasgow and Hugh Collier-Baker, both of whom have secured prestigious apprenticeships; Cameron with Mighty River Power (Electrical) and Hugh with the Holiday Inn (Cheffing).

PRESTIGIOUS UNIVERSITY OF AUCKLAND SCHOLARSHIPS AWARDED TO JPC

Two of our graduating Year 13 students have been awarded University of Auckland scholarships, each worth up to $50,000 and includes mentoring. The scholarships are a testament to their academic ability and the quality of teaching they received at John Paul College. We congratulate Richard Todd and Liam Walsh.

VICTORIA UNIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIPS AWARDED

The College congratulates Courtney Sinclair and Carl Anderson on being awarded scholarships to the value of $5000 each.
