Tuition Fees per Year

NZ $11,500.00

This covers:

§         Normal school tuition

§         Orientation programme for all new students

§         All attendance fees

§         Subject fees

§         All textbooks on loan

§         School Magazine

§         ESL Tuition

§         Camps

§         Affiliation Fees

§         Homework diary

 

Additional Costs

These vary according to the individual programme by the student, and so are not covered by the standard tuition fee.  They may include:

§         Stationery (about $50 a year)

§         Non-programmable scientific calculator for Mathematics, Physics etc ($40)

§         Trips out of school (usually no more than $20-30)

 

Examination Fees & Special Courses for Senior Students

§         Special courses, e.g: IELTS ($300 for 10 week course) available in Rotorua.

§         Entry fees to external examinations and awards, eg: NCEA fees, IELTS ($400)

§         Subject fees where materials and equipment are supplied, e.g:

        NCEA Art & Design                                                  ($80-250)

        Form 6 Art/Photography                                        ($50-150) etc

        Certificate in Practical English ESOL

        Certificate in Practical English

 

Uniform

For all students.  About $400 for girls, slightly less for boys. This fee does not include shoes or jacket.

 

Homestay & Hostel Fee

$190.00 per week for students of the age of 14 and over
$210.00 per week for students under 14
Board payments cover cost of homestay supervision, a fully furnished room, all meals and laundry.

Homestay Administration Fee

$150.00 - annually, $120.00 – relocation fee at student’s request

Placement Fee

$300.00 - once only payment

The New Zealand Immigration Service will ask for NZ$1,000.00 per month for living expenses in a New Zealand bank account (NZ$10,000.00 per year. Bus students are to pay NZ$100.00 per term to the school's office.

New Zealand Contact

Each student should specify a contact person based in New Zealand.  An address, name and telephone number should be forwarded to the Hostel (if living there), and school.

Overseas students with good English language skills accepted into John Paul College do very well.  We provide them with support and encouragement to ensure their continued academic and social development.

Diocesan (Special Character) Fee

$1,000.00 per student per year for Attendance Dues

Tuition Fee

Upon receipt of the completed Application for Enrolment form, the application is considered for approval by John Paul College.  If accepted, the student will be sent an Offer of Place form.  Upon receipt of the full tuition fees an official school receipt will be sent.  These two documents are required for NZIS Student Visa purposes. Tuition fees include: Subject fees, School magazine, ESL Tuition, ,Tuition in class, Camps, Affiliation fees. Outside sporting activities and travel and extra tuition if requested, are not included. Parents are kept up to date with developments concerning their child/children.  This includes school reports and results.

Insurance  $450.00
