We proudly present The La Sallian International Centre John Paul College celebrated the opening of the new La Sallian International Centre on the 20th of March 2009 on a beautiful autumn afternoon. Bishop Denis Browne and his Worship the Mayor of Rotorua, Mr. Kevin Winters opened and Bishop Denis blessed the new centre. International Students, led by the International Captain of 2009, Simon Yang, performed a very joyful Taiwanese Lion Dance and our Korean students practiced for more than a month to put a superb Fan Dance on the stage. Simon Yang’s thoughtful speech expressed how important this new stand-alone facility is to our International Students who regard this Lockwood facility as their ‘home away from home’. The International Department would like to thank the Board of Trustees, the Principal and in particular Mr. and Mrs. La Grouw who made this facility available.
