CONDITIONS OF ENROLMENT JOHN PAUL COLLEGE INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

 

The following terms and conditions must be read and accepted prior to the Application for Enrolment form being completed and signed.  Should you have any questions, please contact John Paul College directly to Cordula Rohde, Director of International Students.

 

1.      John Paul College reserves the right to decline any application for enrolment.

2.      All students are required to abide by New Zealand law during their stay.  This includes all terms of the NZIS Visa.

3.      Enrolled students are required to attend school regularly and to abide by all John Paul College regulations and requirements.

4.      Homestay families, and the conditions under which the Homestay has been arranged, are to be respected at all times by the enrolled student.

5.      Students are required to pay promptly for any loss, damage or other cost  which they incur.

6.      John Paul College reserves the right to charge for any additional costs incurred should extenuating circumstances arise concerning each student’s welfare.  Before incurring such expenses every endeavor will be made to discuss these costs with the parents.

7.      All fees, as outlined in fee structures, are payable in advance upon approval of the student’s Visa application.

8.      Applications for enrolment will be considered after the student’s acceptance of all terms, including fees payable and refund policy.  Applicants will be contacted with our decision as soon as possible.

9.      Final school course and level selection is at the discretion of the school and will not be decided until the student arrives in New Zealand.

10.  Should a student be expelled from the school, John Paul College reserves the right to cancel any arrangements accepted under the enrolment, at their discretion.

11.  John Paul College will not be liable for any situation, accident or injury involving or affecting the students.

12.  Every effort has been made to ensure that all information supplied by John Paul College and contained within these terms and attached conditions is correct at the time of compilation.  John Paul College retains the right to change, alter, amend or delete any of the information or terms included at any time without prior notice.

13.  The completion and signing of the application for enrolment constitutes acceptance of all terms and conditions laid down by John Paul College by the student and/or the parent/guardian.

14.  All students applying for enrolment, must have the application for enrolment form countersigned by his/her parent(s) or guardian.

15.  It is illegal for young people under the age of 16 years to buy cigarettes or tobacco.  Students are not permitted to smoke.  All public buildings in New Zealand are Smoke Free.  International Students are required to abide by these rules.

16.  Students are not permitted to own or drive a motor vehicle while enrolled at John Paul College unless they have been through the New Zealand licensing procedure and obtained a full New Zealand license.

This agreement becomes null and void immediately upon any of the terms and conditions contained within being breached.
