MARY MACKILLOP HOSTEL MARY MACKILLOP HOUSE is the official co-educational boarding residence for Years 7 to 13 students attending John Paul College, Rotorua. Mary MacKillop House provides excellent care for students with very good facilities. Our staff aim for a happy working environment in which students can develop valuable life skills and sound study habits. The hostel is unique in its small size with a maximum of 60 boarders Our hostel motto “Faith, Fun, Focus and Friendship”, describes the essence of Mary MacKillop Hostel where through our Catholic faith students are encouraged to have fun, develop long lasting friendships and be focussed on their future. International students – the hostel is one of the best ways for our international students to really experience “Kiwi Culture”. Living with so many New Zealanders from such diverse backgrounds of New Zealand Society, really immerses the children in an environment where they quickly learn the nuances of how to cope with New Zealand lifestyles. All of our international boarders have thoroughly enjoyed their stay with us.
